This magnificient building one
of the known landmark in Bangalore was built in 1954 by Shri.
Kengal Hanumanthaiah who was the Chief Minister of Mysore
in those days. This is built entirely based on Neo Dravidian
Style and consists of 22 departments and 300 rooms. Today
this building is the house for the Legislative Chambers and
the State Secretariat. It consists of four domes on all the
corners and in the main entrance one can find a four headed
lion which symbolizes our Inidan Soverignity. Also one can
see the saying carved on the main entrance " Government's
Work is God's Work". The Building is open for visitors
only after 3 'o clock in the evening. This is one of the proud
assets of Bangalore.
