Lalbagh :

Bangalore which is also called as the Garden city has gardens which are a pride to the city. Of these gardens the major one is a botanical garden called Lalbagh. This garden is was actually laid by Hyder Ali and later on developed by his son Tipu Sultan. The entire gardens runs into kilometers and is considered to be a peaceful abode. The wealth of Lalbagh consists mainly of different species of flora including small plants, huge trees, shrubs and useful herbs. Major attractions in the lalbagh are the floral clock, glass house and also a small lake. Glass house as the name itself suggests is built of s glass where flower shows are organized by the horticultural department twice in a year once in the month of August and once in January. There is also a small hill inside this garden which was set up by Kempegowda. We can also buy different kinds of plants like rose plants, crotons and kinds in the nursery set up by the horticultural society at competitive prices.
